If you cannot buy organic produce, choose foods from the list that are the least contaminated with pesticides. Keep in mind that imported fruits and vegetables may be more heavily sprayed and more contaminated than locally grown conventional produce.

Since many of the pesticide residues mimic the action of estrogen in our bodies, it is important for good health to buy organic food whenever possible. Buying locally grown as well as organic food also supports our local economy and is healthier for our planet as well.
